LGPLL's Umpire-in-Chief, Mitch Karam, leads the Junior Umpires in Minors Program (JUMP). The program is offered to LGPLL alumni aged 13-17. The league will provide umpire training before the season starts and the kids will have the opportunity to be paid umpires in our Minors divisions of baseball and softball. A mandatory 2 hour training taking place in April. The training will be offered on 2 separate Saturday or Sunday mornings at Hanesworth Park. If you're interested please fill out this LGPLL JUMP Registration Form even if you were a participant in JUMP previously, you will need to register and attend this year's training. District 9’s umpire trio of ZCUA, BUA and J2K are welcoming young people 13 years of age and older to a non-mandatory umpire clinic. This is not a prerequisite for JUMP, but would be a great jumpstart for anyone interested in umpiring Minors @ LGPLL. For any of our experienced JUMPires, this would be a great opportunity to take the next step in getting badged.

The objective of the La Grange Park Little League shall be to instill in the youths of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may become well-adjusted youngsters and good citizens

La Grange Park Little League serves the community of La Grange Park, IL. Registration for the seasons usually takes place December through January. For 2026, regular and late registration have closed. All divisions have moved to waitlist, except Tee Ball and Coach Pitch.

Each team will play approximately 10 to 12 games plus practices. Spring ball will start in mid-April and run until the Day of Champions on Saturday, June 20th. Weekday games typically have start times of 5pm & 7pm, while weekend game start times can vary. It is expected that your athlete will participate in 90% of scheduled games in your respective season.  

 

Our La Grange Park Little League is a 100% volunteer-run organization. All families are needed to volunteer for at least 4 hours or Manage/Coach throughout the season. Families who are not able to volunteer will be charged a $100 non-refundable fee.

​Leagues in our district have residency requirements in order to utilize their facilities for the Little League season. To ensure all leagues in District 9 meet those requirements and have a successful community based season that remains fun and competitive, all families from outside our original district boundaries (excluding school waiver submissions) will be waitlisted and notified of their status by March 1. In the meantime, we do encourage any and all families please also sign up for their local Little League to ensure your child has a place to play in the spring.
