Hello LGPLL Families,
We’re a couple of weeks away from the first games of the season. LGPLL was founded in 1953, so this will be our 72nd season providing programming for the boys and girls of La Grange Park. Here are some topics I felt were important to share out as we start the season. Equipment You May Need for the Season vs. What LGPLL Will Provide
Each child will receive a Jersey and Hat as their uniform from the League. At a minimum, Parents will need to provide Pants and a Glove. Additional recommended equipment: Belt, Baseball/Softball Socks, Cleats, Sliding Shorts/Protective Cup for Boys, Bat, and Helmet. The League will have extra bats and extra helmets available at each game so those items are optional for parents to provide. A Protective Face Mask is required for players registered in the Kid Pitch Softball, Minors Softball, Majors Softball, or Juniors Softball divisions. For Baseball, all bats need to have a USA Baseball Bat Certification. USSA bats are not allowed in Little League, this will be strictly enforced in the Rookies, Minors, Majors, and Intermediate Divisions. Equipment Exchange Distribution
March 23rd at Hanesworth Park. Noon-1pm for all new players to LGPLL & T-Ball Division. 1pm-2pm for all other LGPLL players. There will be an assortment of donated bats, gloves, cleats, pants, helmets, etc.

Picture Day
Picture Day will be on Tuesday, May 6th inside the Community Park District building.. Your team will be provided a time slot, but if you’re unable to make it during that slot, you can come at any point between 5pm-9pm. Picture packages will be available for purchase.
LGPLL Tournament of Champions
The culmination of our Little League season will take place on June 20th and June 21st. Championship games for our Majors & Minors Baseball and Softball divisions. The Cairo Award Presentation. Home Run Derbies. Skill competitions. A Laser Light Show to cap it off on Saturday evening. Don’t miss it.

LGPLL at the White Sox
White Sox are taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks, Tuesday June 24th. The League will set up a pre-game tailgate, and families will be able to parade around the field prior to the game.
